KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Noreen • January 15, 2021

We know, we know. Proper COVID protocol has been hammered into all of us pretty hard by now. Still, it's worth taking a second to review these basic guidelines before you head out for the weekend:

Backside’s Top 3 Know Before You Go

1) Face Coverings

One of the “new normal” things we have all been asked to get used to, is wearing masks in compliance with our government mandates. They are mandatory in any resort building, in lift lines and whenever you cannot socially distance ( be 6 feet) from others.

What is an acceptable mask? Please visit your provincial government's website for details.

2) Pre Purchase Your Packages

Many of the resorts we are sending our patrons to require pre-purchased lift passes as ticket windows will not be selling day of lift tickets.

Lift Tickets must be purchased in advance, therefore booking your
UDRIVE package with Backside Tours is the best way to ensure you get your spot on the mountain on the day you choose!

3) Know Before You Go

We encourage you to click on your resort below for the most up to date Health and Safety guidelines before visiting.

Ski Day Bliss & Apres Eats at Nico's Pizzeria in Revelstoke After a day carving down the legendary slopes of Revelstoke Mountain Resort, there's nothing quite like the warmth and comfort of a hearty meal and a good drink. On my recent ski trip, I stumbled upon Nico's Pizzeria, a local gem that perfectly captured the apres-ski vibe, and I'm excited to share my experience. Located right in the heart of Revelstoke, Nico's is a casual and welcoming spot that's clearly a favorite with both locals and tourists. The aroma of fresh pasta and bubbling cheese hits you the moment you walk in, promising a delicious and satisfying meal.

Revelstoke Après: Monashee Spirits is a MUST! Okay fam, let's talk about the perfect way to cap off a day on the slopes in Revelstoke, BC. You've carved some serious powder, your legs are burning (in a good way!), and you're ready to relax and refuel. Enter: Monashee Spirits Distillery. This place is a must-visit, whether you're a whisky aficionado, a cocktail connoisseur, or just looking for a cozy spot to warm up after a day in the snow. First off, the whisky. Can we talk about the collection? Over 700 bottles! It's a whisky library, a whisky museum, a whisky…well, you get the picture. They've got whiskies from all over the world – Scotland, Japan, you name it. Imagine sinking into a comfy chair after a long day of skiing, a warming dram of your favorite whisky in hand. Pure bliss. Seriously, if you can't find a whisky you love here, you might need to re-evaluate your life choices. Now, I'm no whisky expert (yet!), but thankfully, the folks at Monashee Spirits know their stuff. They offer these amazing tasting flights, which are perfect for newbies like me and seasoned pros alike. It's a guided tour of flavor, and they change it up regularly, so there's always something new to try. But hold on, whisky lovers, because that's not all! Monashee Spirits is more than just a whisky haven. They also craft incredible cocktails using their own distilled spirits (and other carefully selected ingredients). Think creative concoctions, classic cocktails done right, and seasonal specials that will blow your mind. Picture this: you've just come off the slopes, the snow is falling outside, and you're sipping a Monashee Mule or a Topless Girl on a Bike in Paris (yes, that's a drink!). Pure après-ski perfection. They clearly put the same care and passion into their cocktails as they do their whiskies.
